On November 8, 2017, Cyber Kyoto Laboratory, The Kyoto College of Graduate Studies for Informatics (KCGI) registry for ".kyoto" domain and Coolware Corporation, a tenant at the Keihanna Open Innovation Center (KICK), co-hosted a seminar on the topic of Sharing websites―how to create and utilize, for vacation rental businesses. The seminar was held at KCGI Kyoto Ekimae Satellite, in collaboration with Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto Sangyo 21 Public Interest Foundation, Kyoto Information Industry Association, and Kyoto Computer Gakuin. Many professionals and students participated and with the explanation of “SHARE info” method on creating a posting-type website, the participants were able to create and publish their own websites.
Having Sachiko Kishi from Coolware Corporation as the instructor, the seminar covered topics related to the sharing economy, which is a new economic trend where underutilized assets such as places, vehicles, goods, people, and money are shared among individuals through online platforms for lending, borrowing, selling, exchanging, and more. After the introduction of a sample website, participants created and published their own websites and experienced the opportunity to make postings.
